Liquid Paint Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:
3 to 5 Years Experience with Liquid Paint Systems

Summary of Responsibilities:
Manage a group of direct employees within a manufacturing paint department in order to achieve daily production schedules within quality standards. Maintain and improve the production process in order to increase quality and production.

Scope of Position:
The Paint Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining operating systems within specified parameters, measuring results, identifying and resolving problems in order to achieve goals, developing and motivating subordinates, and managing departmental resources.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
  • Monitor and maintain paint equipment to specified parameters and minimize line shutdowns
  • Develop and maintain subordinate training in order to achieve highest possible skill sets
  • Utilize manpower in order to increase utilization and reduce cost
  • Work with vendors in order to improve cost and quality

Technical:

  • Supervise preparation and application of Liquid Paint
  • Maintain spray gun equipment and settings to achieve coating requirements
  • Maintain proper line setup
  • Wet millage control
  • Spray pattern control
  • Viscosity checks
  • Proper storage and application of Liquid Paints

Safety:

  • Monitor environment and work behaviors to ensure safe working conditions
  • Increase safety awareness, support safety projects and goals
